EAC Consulting provided design and construction management services for the reconstruction and widening of a two mile section of the Pine Island Road corridor from Oakland Park Blvd to north of Commercial Blvd. Pine Island Road is a major north-south arterial connecting I-595 to the Sawgrass Express Way/Florida’s Turnpike; construction is ongoing and is carried out under active traffic condition. A major component of the project is the design and construction of the new 30-inch DIP water main from Oakland Park Blvd. to NW 44 Street.

The project included roadway alignment, increasing the number of lanes from four to six, with bike lanes, divided by a landscaped median, new drainage system, signalization, street lighting, irrigation and landscaping, pavement markings and permitting.
