Project Overview
EAC Consulting is serving as civil site engineers for the New Brunswick Village in Spanish Town, Jamaica — an approximately 13-acre site with a mixed-use development for office and retail, with approximately 430 parking spaces, multifamily residential and park amenities. The project includes infrastructure elements such as site roadways, retaining walls, potable water distribution, sanitary sewer collection and disposal systems, storm water collection, storm water treatment, and storm water disposal. Because of the location’s hilly terrain, the design team had to maintain a balance for the cut and fill on the project. Additionally, on the north, east and west side of the property, the existing gully is being redesigned to convey stormwater runoff to the Rio Cobre. The project was completed on a fast-track schedule, requiring extensive coordination with various jurisdictions to make the final approvals a seamless process. EAC performed Design Services, Development of Construction Documents and Specifications, Permitting, and Construction Administration Services.
