Project Overview
This Design-Build project is a three (3) level Interchange at I-95 and Spanish River Boulevard in Boca Raton, Florida. This project included construction of a new interchange, modification of the existing Yamato Road and I-95, addition of auxiliary lanes from Glades Road to Congress Avenue on I-95, and cross street improvements on Spanish River and Yamato Road. This interchange included coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Boca Airport, City of Boca Raton, and Florida Atlantic University (FAU). EAC was tasked with the review, on behalf of District 4, of the Design-Build Teams technical proposals, and also served as a reviewer of the final plans phase submittals which included existing bridge widenings and new Florida-I beam bridges, MSE retaining walls, and sign structures. The bridge’s substructures included multi-column framed piers and pile bents.
