EAC provided design and Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for the reconstruction and widening of a two-mile section of the Pine Island Road corridor from Oakland Park Boulevard to north of Commercial Boulevard. Pine Island Road is a major north-south arterial, and construction was carried out under active traffic conditions. The project included providing a new roadway drainage system, signalization, street lighting, irrigation, landscaping, and pavement markings. The project also involved design and installation of approximately 4,000 linear feet of 30-inch DIP water main from Oakland Park Boulevard to NW 44th Street through a Joint Participation Agreement between Broward County and the City of Sunrise. EAC performed all the civil engineering related work, which included the development of detailed construction plans, technical specifications, and an opinion of probable construction costs for the project.
