The agreement between Miami-Dade County, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection requires that the County undertakes a series of projects, operating and maintenance tasks, and monitoring activities in its wastewater system to reduce and prevent sanitary sewer overflows. By complying with the terms of the Consent Decree, WASD has committed to make improvements to the Wastewater Collection and Treatment System Totaling approximately $1.9B. As part of the Program Management/Construction Management Team, EAC has provided planning, scheduling, construction management and inspection personnel.
