The project required new drainage, extensive utility coordination and relocation. The project paid special attention to “Complete Streets” principles in balancing the needs of motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists while incorporating parking and landscaping. Extensive public involvement to develop a Temporary Traffic Control Plan during construction that minimized residential and business impacts by limiting the construction to specific areas of the corridor and moving progressively to maintain residential and busines access.
