EAC Consulting Inc. provided the following services as part of this Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study:
Inspection of the bascule and approach spans as well as their load rating analyses
The navigational study for the channel in order to determine the clearance and ship impact requirements for the bascule span
The structural engineering services required for the fixed approach spans. Various structural alternatives were investigated for the superstructure as well as the substructure in order to determine the structural system most suited for the proposed bridge
A rehabilitation study
The preparation and approval of a Section 4(f) document for the historic bridge and the adjacent historic sites. This required extensive coordination with SHPO and FHWA
