Stock Island II Roadway Improvements

Client:
Monroe County
Service:
Resiliency and Sustainability
Project Overview

EAC designed, permitted, and provided construction administration services for this project. EAC raised the roadway to account for sea level rise, provided drainage pipes with a 50-year design life based on existing soil condition, and provided galvanized drainage inlet grates to mitigate corrosivity. The project is located on the south side of US-1 on Stock Island, and is in close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. The arterial roadways are part of an urban corridor surrounded by residents, businesses, and a school.
