EAC provided construction engineering and inspection services for the City’s North Beach Oceanside Beachwalk project which consisted of an on-grade ADA compliant pedestrian paver walkway, with bollard lights, beach showers, and landscape. The ½ mile long walkway, with a 25’ section built of seven different paver patterns installed over a soil structure composed of a limerock base and 1” sand bedding, now runs north from approximately 79th Street to 87th Street. Landscaping scope included the removal of all invasive exotic vegetation and its replacement with native dune vegetation. The proposed pathway lighting now meets Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission’s marine turtle nesting requirements.
