Project Overview

EAC provided design and permitting services for roadway and drainage resiliency improvements which included: pavement strengthening; sea level rise analysis to raise the roadway to the 2040 flood elevation; and a stormwater master plan update of the City’s hydrologic and hydraulic model for flood stages. Flood protection and resiliency measures included: drainage pipes with a 50-year design life; galvanized drainage inlet grates to mitigate corrosion; connecting the Bertha Street drainage system to the adjacent stormwater pump station; and installing backflow prevention devices at outlet pipes.
